Trouble kicked ass! There was some stuff on Psalm 9 that (imo) resembles what Slayer was doing later in their career. (late 80's, South of Heaven-ish) Trouble was ahead of the curve. They're just one of those bands that never really got their come up'ins. Thanks for the upload. \m/

Take one listen to the Franklin/Wartell harmony guitars and Wagner's helium vocals, and then try to tell me they weren't, in some small way, influenced by the NWOBHM. Sure; Trouble were/are a huge influence on the then-nascent doom scene, but their influences are writ here in large, neon lettering.

Dave Grohl's Probot project turned me on to Trouble. These guys were Spinal Tap and Anvil on a bad day. They could not get arrested. Even took 10 years between albums at one time in their tortured past. They were big in Schaumburg and Palatine, IL but no where else. They were great. I have all their Eric Wagner cd's. Very cool that this video exists. Thanx 4 sharing.

*****: What are you talking about not planned? Do you think they shot this video on the whim? lol. of course it's planned. & many,many bassist's use a fender jazz precision bass to play metal & many guitarist's use Fender strats to play metal & equip them with some EMG pick ups or Seymour Duncan live wire pick ups etc. Plus you have to consider also that this is from the early 80's also. But just as an example the band Iron Maiden guitarist's Dave Murray use Fender Strats with EMG pick ups & bassist Steve Harris uses a Fender jazz custom bass.& the list goes on & on of many bassist's who use those Fender jazz basses for metal. I didn't realize you had to have what you call a "Metal Bass" to play metal lol. I myself use an ESH 4-string which is the Peter Steele model & i have a 5-string Fender squire. & my one band member has a Fender strat with EMG pick ups & my other guitarist uses a Fender Tele with EMG pick ups & he also has a Fernandez 7-string. But it's all about feel & what you prefer, you can make any guitar into a metal guitar by adding the right pick ups etc. But most people wouldn't consider a Fender Tele to be a metal guitar but you add those EMG metal sounding pick ups & boom there ya have a killer sounding metal axe with some Mesa-Boogie amps & she screams metal. :

I own a B.C. Rich but what I would love to play is a Jackson King V. Fenders work quite well with NWBHM -- B.C. Rich, ESPs, and Jacksons are closely connected to thrash metal. Gibsons are known for doom as Iced Earth uses a Les Paul as my friend Acid owns a red Les Paul.
