Notting hill carnival is a positive, happy family event, shame some people have to ruin it for others. Other than that it looked like it was a very busy and successful event, you captured it well. Also your friend Demi just radiates happiness - she's really pretty.

I went on Sunday by accident as we didn't realise nottinghill carnival was on but we parked our car close.... We were stuck in the carnival for 3 hours, I got covered in chocolate milk and paint. It was a bit of a crazy experience, people take it too far smoking weed/drinking and it ends up being scary and dangerous with the amount of people!

Thomasreed it never used to be this way, carnival was all about celebration of the Caribbean islands and representing. It’s just some people don’t know how to act accordingly and wanna bring trouble. Don’t let that stop you from attending, enjoy yourself the vibe is like no other. My mum first took me at the age of 1, and if you need the reassurance over 1.2 million people attend each year, the police are always on guard🙂

+TROUBLESOME'92 plenty white people go to the Notting Hill Carnival. Carnival represents all Nationalities. I am from the area and growing up we call certain areas where people of the same origin congregate off Ladbroke Grove as the "Nigerian road", "Brazilian Road", "Morrocan road". The irish meet up on the Harrow road, whilst many of upper white classes pop gas balloons and dance to rave music at the opposite end towards Holland. Overall though carnival is attended by thousands and thousands of white people every year.

Make sure the waves are small and the weather is good in the channel. You should have a radio in the boat that reports nautical weather. Conditions can change quickly with wind. That's 50km of sea for wind and wave to amplify & throw you and all the expensive camera equipment into the water, Louis. Just saying.
