I’d like to see video of people paddling out into the surf. They never show this aspect of SUPing

You can find lots of videos. The main way is paddling straight into the incoming wave, get a good paddle strike in right before the wave hits you and step back on the board to lift the nose, then punch through and get the paddle in for another stroke right after. It’s good fun when you pull it off like an ollie on a skateboard.
