I first heard this song recently, having stumbled on Transatlantic Sessions, and saw Maura O’Donnell and Nanci Griffith singing it. Well, I loved the song, and decided to listen to every performance I could find on KZbin. There were so many! After many hours, I landed on your video and I was totally stunned. I had never heard of you. The quality of your performance here is wonderful, your phrasing, the pace, all just knocked me out. So, I promptly started looking up everything “Lily”!
