Yes a beautiful country with many problems. The residents are angry about the crime and overcrowding. Unfortunately as most families have 5 children the population is growing at an alarming rate, doubling in the past decade. I believe over half the population is under 20 years old.

Great video as always. Btw, you certainly received a friendlier reception than M. Macron did last month from gangs of very vocal jemienfoustiste Mahorais! More and more I love the very handmade The Cruising Kiwis legend on the boom, doubly so when Mocha is sitting under it. Best regards. P.s. But I _did_ make it back for your Livestream.... 😅dw
@TheCruisingKiwis6 күн бұрын
I’m not surprised Macron got a frosty welcome. The people of Mayotte have had enough. The population has doubled in the last decade (from illegal immigration, Comorians make up half the population) and most families having 5 children so half the population is under 10. The infrastructure is crumbling. There were water shortages when we were there, lord knows what it’s like since the cyclone.

I had difficulty’s editing and posting this comment I just wrote: To finally finish it off. “Most Kiwi’s arrive in Australia hoping for better economic and better living conditions. What they find is overcrowding a high crime rate and social tensions. Straining Australia’s already strained public services and leaving residents feeling unsafe, not because of these Kiwi’s crossing the ditch, yet the rest of the migrants flooding in from other countries. Ironically a great deal of Kiwi’s become security guards….It’s all True Cruising Kiwi’s 😊

Kiwis do cross the ditch, tempted by Australias higher wages. As one of our Kiwi prime ministers, Robert Muldoon, once quipped, Kiwis moving to Australia raises the IQ of both countries.

Well done Ivan❤Your the Captain Is this just another day? This God forgotten place First comes love and then comes pain Let the games begin Questions rise and answers fall Insurmountable Love boat captain Take the reigns and steer us towards the clear, here It's already been sung, but it can't be said enough All you need is love Is this just another phase? Of earthquakes making waves Trying to shake the cancer off? Oh, stupid human beings Once you hold the hand of love It's all surmountable Hold me and make it the truth That when all is lost, there'll be you 'Cause to the universe, I don't mean a thing And there's just one word I still believe And it's love It's an art to live with pain Mix the light into grey Lost nine friends we'll never know Two years ago today And if our lives became too long Would it add to our regret? And the young, they can lose hope 'Cause they can't see beyond today The wisdom that the old can't give away, hey Constant recoil Sometimes life don't leave you alone Hold me and make it the truth That when all is lost, there will be you 'Cause to the universe, I don't mean a thing And there's just one word that I still believe And it's love, love, love, love, love Love boat captain, take the reigns Steer us towards the clear I know it's already been sung Can't be said enough Love is all you need All you need Is love Love, love

Wow! what a beautiful spot to dive. Yea I heard on the news about the Cyclone that directly hit French Island of Mayotte 12/15/2024. What a disaster and not fun to celebrate Christmas. I did not know that the Island was having an illegal immigration problem. This Cyclone doesn't help matters in that regards actually makes the situation worst as their emergency resources meant for the People of Mayotte will now have to be used on the Illegals and it is the citizens of Mayotte that will suffer. Hope your family time over Christmas and the New Years was fantastic. Hope 2025 is a fantastic year for you cheers . looking forward to next video

I feel sorry for the Comorians. They leave their homeland, one of the poorest countries in the world for what they hope will be a better life. Unfortunately without papers to prove French citizenship they cannot get a job. I believe 10 boats a night try and sneak into Mayotte. Which is why, if you watched our episode predating this one, we were approach so many times as we were sailing into the country.
