Lee also had a very powerful voice. A close second only to the Geordie lad Eric Burdon. Here he shows his talent on the Harmonica with lead guitarist "Wilko" on vocals... yes indeed one of the best Harmonica R&B exponents. Great stuff live too. The "Sarfend Sound". Had Animals and Feelgood tapes/CDs in my cars for ages. Makes you FEELGOOD whilst driving.

I saw the Wilko Johnson band live in the Eighties, unbelievable concert I can only think of Angus Young who put more effort into playing. Wilko was unbelievable that night in good ol'Pontypridd.

I was 19 when I first watch them on the Geordie scene and that was it for me and got there first album never looked back and got there second album just there music raw great am 67 now but still play there CDs and Wilko's Johnson CDs just great

Once described as 3 alcoholics and a speed freak but what a band! During the seventies the guitar bands faded and everything went disco but this band kept it going until the end of the seventies when the guitars bands reclaimed their rightful place. Thank you for the soundtrack of my school years.

Wilko Johnson has died. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Westcliff On Sea on Monday evening, 21st November 2022. He was 75.

The best version IMO was Hookers circa '60 origional. Hooker,Muddy and Wolf....the holy trinity of electrified blues. Mind the Feelgoods do it proud here. What a mixture!
