I truly appreciate the work that you do. Handicapped individuals face many challenges but traveling is especially scary when you don't know what to expect.

Thank you for this video. I often forget that I have as much right to be on transit as any mobile person.

Excellent video. I have travelled extensively by ship, plain and train with my scooter. I have never travelled by bus without my scooter being folded. To drive onto a bus in Scotland is too daunting for me. Fortunately I am able to stand and walk a short distance. Howeever your bus driver seemed to handle the busy with passengers situation to accomodate yourself and your scooter admirably. Well done and thank you.

Sometimes you have to adjust and get used to things. Its rough out there!

In New York City I think the Bus drivers are a bit more alert as to people with mobility scooters and they let them get on and off first. Even if they have walkers they get on and off .

Hi Drew great video. The driver should have had every one in the front step off while you got on and off the bus. The other thing is that I’m shocked the driver allowed you to ride backwards. Did the driver even tie your scooter down? It did not look like it that’s why I’m asking. Crazy things that I saw in this video as far as the driver and passengers go.

Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it. Per State LAW and local municipality here in Florida, we arent required to be buckled in or tied down. A passenger with a wheelchair may have his back facing the operator, or face forward. The driver did a stand up job, and met my accommodations. The driver did tell the people to get off the bus to let me out. People chose not to listen, which is quite typical. Have an awesome day! ~Drew

Thank you for sharing. With my older scooter many people or even locations/stores/etc make it hard for those that are physically challenged. Happens to me all the time and then u get people giving you attitude because they all wanted to ignore you. :( it is rare that people help or show kindness but it can happen.

If the day comes that I can find a way to get a scooter, Mobility Direct will be it. Went to Walmart 2 days ago. Used 2 different scooters. Each one died. Had to find outlet to plug in Each one to plug in. Finally 3rd scooter was ok. Can't put weight on left foot for long walks.

I have the Z10 I don’t think this will work for me, will it?
@MobilityDirect13 күн бұрын
ZT10 will probably be a bit too long to get on a public bus. Even though they allow scooters, there is a maximum allowable size per the ADA.

Medicare and insurance is extremely difficult to get funding from to get help for scooter or wheelchair. What do people do that convinces the need for one? That might qualify them for one? Know my family Dr won't.

@DavidMcdowell-h3e That's also why we don't work with insurance. Something that we do to compensate for that is we offer free shipping and no sales tax, we also include a discount if you decide to pay out of pocket. We also offer hassle-free financing that you can apply for and get approved instantly. Feel free to reach out to our non-commissioned sales expert at 888-263-5601. I prefer to pull straight on in. I find it easier than backing it in. It's very narrow and I don't want to damage my scooter, or hurt anyone.
