We troubleshot a GE Advantium Speedcooker for a no convection bake problem. Turned out to be a non-resettable TCO that had failed open. The customer agreed to replace both parts on our second visit.
Watch how I used the schematic to select strategic voltage and current measurements needed to identify the problem.
We did all our troubleshooting from the control board without uninstalling the oven. Doing it this way allowed us to diagnose the problem with minimal disassembly. We half-split the problem between the control board and the heating circuit and fixed the problem on the second trip.
By the way, these same troubleshooting techniques work on any appliance, regardless of brand or type, including SAMSUNG!
Troubleshooting electric circuits is easy and fun if you know how to read schematics and understand basic electricity!

This is the kind of stuff all technical educators should come up with. Learn some basic principles and apply those to any problem at hand. It's a joy to watch these videos. Saying something works and actually doing it are two different beasts. This demonstration is super easy to grasp. In fact, I've taken a lot home from all videos that I've watched from you. Keep the stuff coming! Thank you!

You have snatched the pebble from my hand! I want to repeat and emphasize a key sentence you said: “Learn some basic principles and apply those to any problem at hand.” YES! Doing it this way is actually much easier than pattern recognition, “If this problem replace that part.” Understanding basic circuit principles makes troubleshooting FUN and EASY.
