Sounds like John Ginty on the Hammond during the scene taking apart the rhodes! Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!

Perhaps the demagnetization could be caused by keyboards being placed on top with built in speakers? The speaker magnets would indeed be above either end of the Rhodes... Also thanks for continuing to share your wisdom and investing so much time and skill into these treasures! Love your work gang

Interesting. What would be a suitable repair for someone who can’t send you the entire piano? Send in just the pickups for remagnitization or replacement? Would this also benefit “working” pickups and enhance their output?
@VintageVibePiano4 жыл бұрын
Christoffer Ainek Yes, you could easily send us your pickups. Please contact us through our website.

Thanks for the heads up, scary - moved my 1031a 5 inches away right after watching this, though they're supposed to be magnetically shielded... - but indeed they still cause a very light hiss from their toroidal transformers when switched on (but so does a ProReverb one foot away on the floor, which I move away a few more feet for recording purpose). Are there any guidelines on what is still acepptable without causing damage to the pickups? I assume the classic moog on top is causing some extra hum, too?
