Troubleshooting Irobot Roomba Red/ Orange Light + How to Bypass Charging Deck

My Roomba has a flashing red/orange light and not charging. I learned how to troubleshoot and bypass charging deck.

7 years earlier I bought my irobot 510. After 2-3 times uses, and 7 years later I tried to use it again. Wanted to charge it, but just saw an orange light blinking. I tried to push two buttons, accidently pushed 3, the demo, the clean and the spot buttons at the same time.It made sound and I immediately knew it will work. After 7 years, without new battery it works great now.😊

Thanks for the info. I did not realize there was a charge port on the side. Mine is not working with the dock because there is no connection on one of the bottom contacts of the iRobot. I pulled the battery and checked for continuity on the battery contacts to the bottom contacts and one side is not connected anymore.

Open the manual! If you lwave your roomba in storage for long periods, it has a battery safety system, that requires you charge your battery for 16 hours straight when you want to use it again

I bought a new battery and it works!! My roomba was a hand me down- now that it needs to be charged it won't charge. I only have a cord that came with my off brand vacuum it says charging error 2. Is it the wrong cord or is it a setting or the Amazon battery?

You're probably going to need a Roomba cord or an off-brand that is specifically modeled for that particular vacuum. The charging card that you have for your off brand might have different amps or voltage and that's why it won't charge. I wouldn't recommend it anyway because we all know how finicky those batteries are

my roomba 550 says please charge roomba and will not charge i also bought a new battery before i bought the new battery i put the old one in my room 5 days later the battery came and i fixed it in the living room AND IT DID NOT WORK AND SAYED CHARGING ERROR 7! HELP ME FIX IT please!

Hi, error 7 means the battery is not genuine and the robot will not accept the battery due to it’s technology. there are no safety circuits in the battery. you may need to replace it with a new battery (genuine).

The orange light means that the robot is charging. Is not a problem!

It's probably your battery. I have changed a few of them out over the years. So far, It has fixed the problem every time... I bought them on Amazon

everything that I read that it is the battery. It's better just to buy a new one unless you're pretty handy which I am not.

It never charged.. I bought a different brand that works great... I did do a video of my new robot vacuum that goes over how it works and accessories it came with....

El dice que está teneiendo. Problemas en cargarlo, al poner a roomba en su base para cargar empieza a palpar el color amber y que escuchó que si lo conecta directo ala roomba probablemente pueda cargarla sin ningún problema, pero tiene que esperar aver que sucede después de un rato puesta directa a cargar, o si no dice que va a tener que ver qué hace para componerla. Yo tengo el mismo problema en la mía y creo que ya se que es 😅

@@bridgetbowman2229 is the light pulsing, or flashing. If it’s pulsing, it should be fine. If it’s flashing, I think the charger or dock might be failing
