I’ve been in and out of the hospital and right now isn’t the time to be inpatient. Our county has tripled our covid count this past two weeks. I’m trying to learn patience and to have faith. Others have it so much worse then me. Take care everyone. Lesley and SD Jake.

You're too hard on yourself Mary. We're going through very difficult times right now. And even though we're going through our every day routines and finding time to laugh and smile, subconsciously we are stressed. That can manifest in so many ways. One most common way is exhaustion. Give yourself some credit. You're a fighter! And you have Peter right there beside you. I have no doubt that you'll settle into your new normal and do it smiling. Enjoy your birdies and don't push yourself so hard, life is glorious! Bless you both ❤

Went through the same thing with my MS. I changed meds last year and I felt sooo much better. Still do. But there are those days when I feel like I have no will, no energy. For no specific reason... other than MS being what it is. It's hard to make plans with such variations in energy levels. But we learn to adapt... and appreciate the good days even more! 💕💪

You are very graceful about accepting things the way they have to be, even if there is really no good reason for them. Like being graceful about accepting the additional pain of the SGIV even when we all know you are perfectly able to do it the IVSG way safely and there is no common sense reason to force you to do it this new way. But sometimes life is stupid like that and we all just learn to have to accept certian things knowing there might be a good side to it too. Even though its not our first choice.

Have you heard the hummingbird squawk? I was so shocked the first time. I had planted a butterfly garden..lavender, roses, rosemary and butterfly bushes. The hummingbirds loved it. They would hover a few inches from my face when I watered with the hose...they loved to be sprayed lightly with the water..I stopped and that little bird screeched at me...spray more! I love them!

I found journaling what I did during the day really helped me pin down the cause of many of my symptoms. I would break my journal down into the times I woke up, early morning, late morning, early afternoon, evening, night, and the time I went to bed. Each section I would then break down into meds, food, thoughts/feelings, energy level, activities (including housework/errands/fun stuff), and other where I would write things such as headaches, nausea, menstrual flow, etc. After about a week I looked back on everything and saw some interesting correlations mostly on the days I slept in or on days I went to bed late the night before. It was also a great thing to bring with me to doctors appointments. I am sure there is a way you can also journal on your phone during the day so that it can be sent over to your team for them to use as a reference. It worked great for me and we changed some timing with medications and i became more aware of my sleeping habits and it made a huge difference in my fatigue.

I have axial spondyloarthritis, a type of inflammatory arthritis that predominantly affects the spine but also other joints and some organs. So I know how you feel with high inflammation and widespread pain. Did you know inflammation directly causes fatigue? Cytokines are released as part of the inflammatory cycle and they directly cause fatigue. I'm proud of you for advocating for yourself and focusing on what you can do and resting when you need to. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was to do less than I think I can on good days and more than I think I can on bad days. I will admit I'm not very good at it sometimes and overdo it then crash the next day. But I am human after all! Best of luck in seeking a diagnosis ❤

Com to boiling point then let it cook down a bit as you pop some of the berries open. Cool and store if fridge in mason jar. Good on waffles, pancakes, toast, oatmeal, yogurt, graham crackers etc!! You should get the Freedom 60 pump for your infusions. It has a case that goes with it so that you can take it anywhere. I have even put it in a purse or backpack and taken it with me like to the grocery store or on errands while doing it. Also, with slowing the rate it should be better. Also, you may want to try it in your stomach to see if that works for you. Also, I have found like a heating pad or hot bath helps when my Subq medicine doesn't want to go in my tissues very well. I normally do 3 needles that are 9 mm because 2 needles with 9mm give me too much fluid at one time to disperse.

Re exhaustion & being shaky-could ur iron levels be low? (They could be if ur red cells are a bit low-but u need a separate test to the CBC to test for iron levels, iron stores & something else related to iron-here in Australia, the test is called “iron studies”)-The other thing is vitamin D-I was “critically” low recently (it was so low, the lab couldn’t detect it in my blood, so they had to repeat the test!!), & that made me exhausted & shaky. There were days I just couldn’t keep my eyes open! I thought I was getting enough vit D by spending at least 15 mins outside each day, but obviously that wasn’t enough-they now think I may have an absorption issue. I know CF tummy issues & other things can affect ur absorption of various vitamins-it was just a thought! I most certainly felt exhausted when I was low in Vit D & iron, but feel tons better now since I started taking a daily supplement!

Mary, low salt can feel very much like low blood sugar. I get low blood sugar anyway, but there are times when I get low salt & it feels the same, but sugar doesn't help. A lot of people who get low salt find that it gets worse at this time of year when the weather warms up & your body sweats & loses more fluids because salt comes out in the fluids. With your CF salt issues, I'm thinking this may be what's happening with you. I have POTS & salt is a big issue with me too, I find that this time of year, I have to increase my salt intake. I really hope you see this message & that it helps you.

What is tricasta? I’m fatigued bad . When it was in imuran I felt better but I had to stop because it caused low wbc rbc platlets and neutrophils. So I’m real fatigued.
