i used to fish down stream at the Birmingham water works pump station in the spring catch my 5 limit of trout and would always have my bass pole ready for the stripers running up the river to spawn

Over forty years ago I tried fishing the dam at night. Do not try it, the thieves will break into your truck while your fishing.There is a B,ham water works pumping station farther down,which has good fishing from the bank,try it,can even fly fish when the dam is not releasing water.Good luck.
