Just an idea. If that board seems to add unnecessary weight to your beach cart. Get a peice of 1/4 inch thick rubber mat. Use cardboard to set flat on the top rail. Reach through the side with a marker and trace around the inside edge of the top rail. Cut it out with a razor knife or heavy scissors. Then lay your cardboard template on your rubber mat and cut it out. The rubber is plenty for a floor, won't give you splinters, looks cleaner, wont move, is grippy to hold stuff in place and is alot less than the weight and thickness of plywood. I think this has many more benefits than the wood and is more than sturdy enough for what you need!

Azek or pvc board my guy. Weighs nothing, will never warp or rot from the sea water or any kind of weather. Here in the north, the best outdoor stuff is made of Azek board. Good idea to make the solid bottom, seems like a better fit

During high tide Vudu shrimp will be most effective along grassy edges with oysters amongst the bottom. I like 5 to 8ft depth and again use 4 foot of leader below your popping cork. Be creative and make a popping pattern. Personally I pop the Vudu three times once I cast it into the area I'm fishing.

Another great video! I noticed that you measure a lot of fish with their mouth open. I don't know if it's the case in South Carolina but everywhere I've fished the rules state that fish have to be measured with the mouth closed. Most fish are shorter with the mouth closed. You might want to check into that. Hate to see you get a ticket. Keep up the good work.
