I really like the look of that creek. It isn't too crowded with people, but it also isn't hidden deep in the woods somewhere so it's convenient but not too crowded/noisy. And I love finding new spots, not expecting anything, and then getting a nice trout. That creek definitely has tons of potential for future vids. Way to work through the grind to produce some quality fish.

Another good day. Yeah, absolutely go bushwhacking any time you can. Get away from the high pressure spots. If you're in decent enough shape, you can get on more fish than your average bank fishers. Merry Christmas! I started using the "Realistic Rig" a lot last year, you would not believe how well it works ice fishing btw. I have since modified it a few different ways but by FAR my most productive has been using a wet fly for the hook/bait. I will tell ya... it catches EVERYTHING! All species of panfish, bass of all flavors, northern, trout, and 1 Musky when I decided to be funny and used a long streamer fly! Take it to heart folks you do NOT need to spend a fortune on technique specific gear, Alex has shown the way we just need to run with it.
