We live very close and have fished the Sipsey all our lives. We do filming there as well. Great video. Really enjoyed it.

It is definitely an area that we want to explore more. It is beautiful and the fish taste great. Thanks for watching.

Welcome to trout fishing! It's a lot of fun. Trout do have a tendency to be "gut hooked" so i try and keep the retrieval to a minimum, as well as taking the barbs off the hooks, especially if intending to "catch & release." Planning on an overnight to that area soon! Thank you for the video.

Thanks for the information. We look forward to visiting that area again. Thanks for watching.

Nice video. I hope me and the kids didn't do too much noise behind you all! What a coincidence!

Not at all. Our kids are grown and we love seeing kids enjoying camping. That is a great place to camp and enjoy nature. You had the truck tent didn’t you? I commented to Pat in how cool that was. We need to get back over there. Happy camping . Thanks for watching . - Gigi

As a fly fisherman growing up in Georgia, I laughed when I saw y'all using corn flavored bait. We fish all day long using bug and larvae flies, studying entymology, water columns, hatches, etc. - but you can catch them all day long on the Chattahoochee using a hook and corn... 🙂 Nice to see someone eat a fish too for a change...

Ha!! We love fresh caught fish! Especially when you can eat them while looking over the water they came from. A guy from the fly shop told us that they were somewhat hard to catch. The Sipsey river was so rich in food that their bellies stayed full most of the time. Thanks for the comment!

@@gigiplusthebeard That's some John Gierich Trout Bum level stuff right there, catching trout and cooking them right at the water's edge... great stuff!

Enjoyed the video I'm just curious: do you guys fly fish? It is a blast to land that size trout on a 3/4 weight fly rod. Thanks for sharing

Where did you camp?
@gigiplusthebeard Жыл бұрын
They have some camping spots on site at the fly shop. Our site was looking over the river. The sites do not have power or running water . They have a bathroom and shower at the fly shop .
@rockynash1193 Жыл бұрын
Can you fish at the camp site?
@gigiplusthebeard Жыл бұрын
We walked a short distance down a bank to fish . There are multiple camp spots. Some of the camp sites have a little farther walk than others but they are all an easy walk to the creek to fish .
