Have you had any issues with your scorpion bfs? I recently got one and if I set the brake dial over #1, I get some grinding/resistance when retrieving. Sometimes a little high pitch squeak. Any idea what it could be? It’s brand new out of box and I only adjusted the tension knob prior to using

I have not had any problems like that, maybe a manufacturing issue.

@@Lifeguard102 oh I love that rod, so much that I bought a second one! It’s a light action rod which for the fishing I do works out perfectly. I am not a big fan of flimsy rods because I like to get good hook sets, it’s great too because it’s a 2 piece so it’s super portable! Nice reel! I just picked up the kastking zephyr bfs. I’ve been having some problems after catching a few trout and carp on it. Also do you use mono or braid on your reel?

Yes I love the scorpion bfs reel it has a smaller frame than the zephyr which I like. What kind of issues have you been having with the zephyr? I am running suffix 832 20lb braid since it has the diameter of 6lb floro which is what I use as leader line attached by the double uni knot. So far i really like the braid to floro.

@@confidentangler2992 I’ve owned my zephyr bfs for about a month now and it’s caught many big fish and the drag has gotten all sticky. It’s stops spinning, and sometimes the handle gets locked up so I can’t turn. And it’s not smooth when I reel

@@henryc4051 so I’ve owned two of them and one of them did the same thing after I tried cleaning and putting oil where it called for oil. It got hard to reel and the drag was messed up. So I figured it was just that one because the one I fished with in my first video runs smooth but I haven’t tried cleaning it yet. This was a reason why I bought the scorpion reel.

@@confidentangler2992 I just took the whole reel apart and greased everything that needed to be greased and it seems much better everything is working much better

@@henryc4051 awesome! Yeah I noticed mine came with a lot of grease so maybe that’s all it needed! It’s a nice reel though!
