Another great video Dave, I love the way you give your lifelong perspective on the subject, it shows great depth of understanding, so refreshing in the new world of instant experts.

What a lovely video Dave,( it's amazing the trout you can find in these small streams - it's just what I used to do years ago up in the Lancashire hills). Your video is so peaceful, and scenic, it's a perfect cameo of a waterside scene. Thank you Dave.

Thanks John. Yes, there are lots of similar streams up and down the country and often permission to fish requires nothing more than a friendly word with the local farmer!

Glad you enjoyed it! If you are interested, I made another video on the same beck...the quality of the footage is better and more trout were caught, but for some reason it has attracted fewer views. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5vdhZiKbNWSrNk

Thank you for your reply and introducing me to your another video. I saw it and I also enjoyed it. Both of them are very beautiful and well structured with your attractive narration. Perhaps one of the reasons your first one (shorter one) is appreciated more is that it has a good balance between fishing and beautiful views of nature. Although it depends upon the taste of viewers. I come from Kyoto, Japan and currently live in Sheffield. Just began fishing last year and look forward to enjoying it more this year!!

Hello From Australia, I enjoyed watching your video very much. Beautiful countryside, wildlife, waters and trout. I usually fly fish but I'll be giving your bait fishing technique a decent try. Thanks for posting your video. Cheers, Steve.

+OZAngler Thanks Steve - I've tried fly fishing too. The overhanging branches make it tricky, but I guess that's part of the challenge. I don't know if you are aware, but I did another video of the same beck - more action and better quality pictures (new camcorder!) but for some reason it has received far less views: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5vdhZiKbNWSrNk

David, great to see this. my childood was spent on the beck from ici crimple house and farm down to the viaduct you show. We built damns fished for trout, minnows and wow...I haven't seen a bullhead since those days! thats nearly 50 years ago and its still my fondest memory. do you recall a garden in the middle of nowhere up above the beck? it had its own well and was fenced in alongside the pathway by an old yorstone wall? still wonder how that place came to be. anyway happy days..I still have time to go back and explore..

+Maggie Hemming Hi Maggie, I'm surprised our paths didn't cross, although in my younger days I spent most of my time further upstream in the Burn Bridge/Pannal area. I don't recall the garden...I probably didn't get that far down. There are still plenty of bullheads in the beck, and stone loach too. I don't know if you've seen the other video I did about the beck - this is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5vdhZiKbNWSrNk
