Before I transitioned to fly fishing, Blue Fox and Panther Martin spinners were my bread and butter! Definitely one of my favorite ways to catch trout, they crush moving baits so hard it’s almost worth missing the opportunities that bait fishing them can provide!

I knew absolutely Nothing about trout fishing, until now. I’m a Kayak Bass fisherman. Been doing it for fifty years and never once caught a trout. What’s pretty cool about fishing for trout is, you can use worms. I haven’t used live bait for over forty years. I strictly use rubber worms of all kinds, on a weed less hook setup and I catch my limit close to every time. Love bass. But I really want to catch some trout. I heard they’re pretty tasty. I us a syringe and fill my 1/2 of a nightcrawler with air to get it to float off the bottom of the lake . Cought all kinds of fish that way. Try it sometimes you might be surprised.
