Hi Tony, it was a good for being in a river, sadly the trout are very few and far between in our rivers nowadays, it was good to catch & release a couple of fish, It's very sad to see how poor the trout stocks are in the rivers/streams here in Tasmania and there's nothing being done about it. Hi Andrew & thank you for your positive comments mate, it's very much appreciated as always. came back to latrobe from usa mod dec to 1.1, fished 6 days - the quality of fishing has diminished so much in the rivers - terrible.

Yes, the trout fishing in our rivers is very poor and it will take quite some time for them to recover which is a shame. The Inland Fisheries here in Tasmania don't believe in restocking rivers, they believe in self recruitment which is a joke when the majority of trout have been cleaned out by the Cormorants. This time last trout season (2023/24) I had made 44 trips to the rivers/streams for a total of 282 trout being caught & released, so far this season I have only made 16 trips for a total of 24 trout being caught with one having to be kept due to gill damage. I haven't bothered to push myself this season due to the fact that the rivers/streams are not worth fishing at this stage & I can't see it getting any better for some time. Cheers Adrian (meppstas)

You can get them online from AliExpress.. go to search & type in the the following.. Rolling swivels with screwed snap... I get all of my swivels from them & quite a lot of my hard body lures etc as well Andrew.. 👍 cheers Adrian
