LaBryant Jones But he already grew tho and he knows that. Alot of these rappers are not really in the streets so they don't have the same problem as a independent dude coming straight from the hood. When u from the streets doing something good for yaself people just always gon hate and try to bring u down. You could compare his situation to Stack Bundles. A young dude tryna make it out the hood but still have ties to the streets because he hasn't yet accomplished what he needs to in order to fully not have to deal wit the street shit. . .Troy ave already said he wasn't letting anybody do him like they did Stack Bundles.

I overstand this dude. He's not hard to read... My theory is that he was not a bad or reckless kid but was impressionable. I'd say he created a persona of who he wanted to be from an early age and ran with it. He hit the streets wanting to emulate the classic case of dealers turned rappers (e.g. 50 cent). Difference between him and say a 50 cent is that fif is undoubtedly a product of his environment whereas I'd say Troy Ave is to a greater degree a product of his own imagining. Troy comes across as someone who could have become a millionaire selling leather briefcases if he wanted to. Someone on the thread said Troy Ave is knowledgeable but not wise; I don't disagree. He's a very slick storyteller who is not as smart as he believes himself to be. I was put off him by his comments on Capital Steez; he could have gone a long way in redeeming himself by reflecting and offering an apology but he chose to justify his position defending his original comments. Although, I don't feel his music like I once did, I wish safety and enlightenment for his future. Word.

Christopher Johnson yo very well put. I agree with that 100%. You can tell who's been in the streets for real & who hasn't. He had a mom who was there for him who bought him things. Some children never & I mean never had no parents like say a 50 cent who very well had to hustle out of necessity rather than to emulate a certain individual. Very well put
