Thanks for the video. I have a Troy-Bilt 7.75 Briggs and stratton mower. i have been told to use straight 30W for the oil but you are using 10W-30. Is that just as good to use? Also have you had luck with just using a carb cleaner to get the lawnmower starting again after it has not been starting?
@JonnyDIY3 жыл бұрын
Straight 30 is fine also, either one will work well. 10w30 is more readily available and I always have on hand. But you could buy a quart of SAE 30 and last you a good while. Yes carb cleaner is fine, just remove air filter and spray in there. I usually use a fuel stabilizer in my gas so I dont have to worry about no starts after leaving in storage 👍

put remove the gas cap and put a plastic baggie over the hole. then screw the cap back on tight and the gas won't leak out when you tilt the mower over to dump the oil. don't forget to remove the baggie when your done.

thanks good idea. On mine the gas leaks onto air filter if I dont empty tank or at least remove filter

I use a cheap transfer pump you can get at any Auto parts store. I have a B&S 675EXI Series and they say in the manual to just check and add as need but obviously its just so you buy a new one every few years. Its stupid they didn't add one to a log splitter@PrimePredator

It's in there: you just need to remove the blade, pop the plastic cover from the bottom, then unscrew the little widget blocking access to the drain hole, and there it is.
