I have a Troy Built Squall 2100, and it worked for 2 winters, now it wont start. Last winter, I cleaned the little carburator, and it ran again, so i think there must have been particles in the carb. Just tried to start it again, this year, and once again , no start. I cleaned the carburator again, but nothing this time. spark plug is fine...Tired of this thing. Ready to throw it into a lake.

Thanks Chris! I have the same machine about 5 years old. I have used it maybe 4 times, couple times last winter. After sitting spring/summer 2020, it won't start now. Gas is about 1 1/2 years old, but I put in an additive that is supposed to keep the gas ok for a couple years. With such little use do you think it is just a matter of draining and replacing the gas? Could the spark plug be bad already after such little use? Just bummed it won't start and hoping to avoid replacing the carb. Any comments or thoughts? In Columbus, OH and weather sucks here too!

I have the exact same machine for several years and it’s been working fine until this winter the auger squeals when it hits a heavy patch of wet snow and the auger just stop turning. The service guy said the belt is okay and only need adjustment. What are your recommendations and how easy is it to DIY replace the belt? Thanks.
