I cannot hold in my screams any longer. This story inspired intense emotions in me. I truly came to cherish the love between Paris and Helen, Hector and Andromache, Achilles, Patroclus and Briseis, Priam and Hecuba. The brotherly bond between Paris and Hector, Agelaus’ kindness to Paris, the camaraderie formed between the Trojans and Amazons. Achilles, Patroclus, Nestor and Odysseus were the only Greeks I cared for, and I was saddened by what Odysseus was made to do by the end. He did nasty things, but his Odyssey home will be a penitence for that. He will wash himself of his old sins and return home safely to his wife and son. Agamemnon and Menelaus…from the beginning, I disliked them, but by the end, my loathing was frightening in it’s depth. I envisioned a hideous, painful end for Menelaus and was frightened by my own schadenfreude, but I can’t deny it. One of the bitterest ironies is the contrast with the old movie Troy. Menelaus was honorable there, yet he died. Here he is despicable, yet he lives. Paris was contemptible in Troy yet survived, but here, where he is good and kind, he dies. It makes me want to scream: what was the point?! I thank anyone who deigns to listen.

meh achilles considered briseis only as his prize, he loved deidamia and had a son by this marriage. Later he fell in love at first sight with penthiselea. So yeah..

Also Helen never loved Paris, never ever. Se truly loved Menealus but she was deceived by Aphrodite due to the promises she made to Paris

@@pixsagmoonbluntsisters9928 I watched the whole mini-series today. Even though I didn't like much of the casting, I really enjoyed the mini-series! Bella Dayne's Helen was definitely my favorite character in the mini-series! I enjoyed her take on it. Her chemistry with Louis Hunter as Paris was great! It turns out that they have been in a romantic relationship! I thought Bella looked gorgeous in the mini-series. I liked her more than Diana Krueger who played Helen in the 2004 movie, Troy. Both are German women, but there is something about Bella that makes me think that she looks like she has Mediterranean ancestry.

I watched it, I liked it. But making half the cast black was a big no no. Even if half the cast was scandinavian I would have been triggered by the decision of casting.

​@@cogrunner6763Having watched both, I wouldn't say the 2004 movie did anything better than this series save perhaps the action scenes. Which are amazing, mind you. It got much more wrong, it compromised more characters, we didn't even see the gods on screen, etc. It's an ok film, but I feel this is a better adaptation in many ways. But, to each their own.

The most important clip in the series, which I consider one of the most important lessons for the world, is the first interview between Helen and Priam, King of Troy, which is her demand for women's rights because she is persecuted in Greece!!! But they did not know the devastation that would befall them as a result of these rights

This show is definitely worth watching if you like history/mythology. This show is more accurate to the Homer's Epic than the Troy movie. However the casting was bad...Black Achilles and Black Zeus. But you'll get used to it. Achilles character was so bad in this. They didn't even explore his character and his death didn't hit hard

I see your point but I think the aim of this series was to more focus on the relationship between Paris, Helen and the trojan war and this was not a Hollywood movie that had Brad pitt playing Achilles this was showing a different perspective

Netflix's Troy fall of city must comes with chapter or season 2 .it's incomplete . A lady helen destroy the hole Troy city . @@djangounchained2754 péssima série, Helena não é a mulher mais linda, a pastora que Paris estava ficando tem uma beleza igual a de Helena, o que muda são as vestimenta, pq Helena se veste igual uma rainha e a outra se vesti bem simples, outro erro é querer alguém só por causa de beleza, ele pediu a mulher mais linda e não uma mulher que ame ele, que tenha caráter e seja fiel, por isso muitos homens hoje em dia leva chifre pq só enxergam a aparência, outro erro é romantizar um homem com uma mulher casada, Helena era casada, enquanto Paris era solteiro, por isso as pessoas estão perdidas.
