You can see that Zac and Vanessa's love throughout the whole three movies. Apart from all the songs, their chemistry is what makes the trilogy so great. They literally fall in love with each other. As the director of hsm said, the thing between them is a fairytale. say all you want to say about troy and gabriella, all I can say is that if zac and Vanessa did not fall in love with each other then the otp would be boring. I still believe zac and Vanessa will find their way back to each other at some point in the future. The thing between them never really ended.

I had a feeling I would tear up watching this but I didn't expect myself to cry. Their relationship and these films really represent my childhood and the beauty of childhood innocence. These films are so quotable and nostalgic yes, but are so beloved because they remind us of a time when all we looked forward to every week was watching the newest episode of that Disney series we loved or waking up late on Saturdays because we had no school. They remind us of going on summer vacation and going on family trips and the only stresses we had was a summer reading list and maybe a science project or two. The High School Musical movies were OUR films. They were made for us and no one shamed us for it. We were kids and they were the biggest film event of our childhood. We felt heard and noticed when HSM3 was in theaters because something we loved and grew up on was going to the big screen. Troy and Gabriela were our first real exposure to a sweeping romance and their relationship set a standard that we all, even till this day, hope to have one day. They were kindred spirits and fell in love with each other as they fell in love with themselves and who they really were inside. The films give you a sense of adventure. It's like a fairytale. Don't let go of that little kid inside you and don't let go of these movies and the impact they had on us all

Gabriella fell for Troy HARD. The only thing I didn’t like was how the entire basketball team just turned their backs on Troy because of her. They basically forced him to choose between singing or playing the game. Plus, he was too worried about living his life through his father’s dreams & making him happy. These 2 were my OTP.
