And ironically, Xenoblade 3 has characters that start conscious life at roughly 10 years old and only live for 10 years more

Also Xenoblade 3 and Future Redeemed pulls a lot from Xenogears for its plot and themes. (Xenogears was even codenamed ‘Project Noah’, hence Noah being a double reference to that and Noah in Book of Genesis, and Matthew was a reference to Fei in physical appearance and the martial artist approach to combat)

The only tangential idea i can come up with, is that "Ten" is also a way to say heaven in Japanese, which would fit the game's themes. Otherwise it's probably just compressed English being used in a spooky way to a Japanese audience, no real meaning behind the words, other than the source being a quite ghastly act by a human being.

xenogears is the game of my life. I've played since 1998 and to this day I love seeing the complete story over and over again. In 2002, playing in Noturne city, I discovered the jukebox and on it I discovered the song Gathering Stars in the Night Sky, which has the variants Flight and Spring Lullaby. I was so fascinated that in 2004 I managed to buy a musical keyboard just to learn to play this song and I still play it today. My 3-year-old daughter and the one who will be born in April will continue to play the same keyboard, which I still have. It's beautiful to see and discover the love that some people have for Xenogears, a game wronged by an incomplete second CD made in a hurry due to the problems that we fans know but still love. I want to be alive when they decide to remake this absolutely amazing jrpg. I loved the curiosity of your video and your commitment to bring us this. Thank you very much. Hug from a Brazilian in love with Xenogears!

I really enjoyed Xenogears too. Unfortunately the backside of the game suffered due to time constraint and/or budget.

This is such a neat discovery. I love finding stuff like this too. It’s such a weird sample to include in a song. He probably thought it sounded good for a battle theme, or was from a sample CD.

Actually, if it was used in a few other places it could make sense. On a subconscious level Fei blames himself for all the deaths he caused by entering Weltall. Fie doesn't even really fight against being sent to the prison island, where he felt he belonged. So Fei, a guy who treats himself as if hes a murderer, having a chant from a Criminal's sentancing, does actually make sens.

Wow I don't think I heard of anyone else cracking the mystery of that audio. Great job to the people who figured it out.

I love Xenogears and this theme is my favorite track in the game. I always thought it was just gibberish and I could have sworn I saw Mitsuda said that somewhere. This proves otherwise, though. How very strange.

Your production style reminds me of something from the late 90's-00's. It's clean and easy to follow, but it surprised me. Thanks for this! What an odd clip... People had been guessing it was either a court clip or something about a CS gas training chamber.

That's a little sinister. Also makes me think if Mitsuda is a fan of Marlon Brando.

I found out that the same audio clip was also used in another game called "Slashout" (a beat-'em-up arcade game published by Sega in 2000), right at the beginning of one music track. You can hear it here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIiximRsjLKXnbs

people on gamefaqs figured this out about 6 years ago. The same clip was used in another game, which is the lead they needed to solve the case. This was a miraculously fortuitous coincidence. They didn't have the audio engineering chops you have though. The composer himself did not know what was being said.

Xenogears was controversial? That explains why we might never see a remake of it, or any games like it ever again.
@avenderiel3 жыл бұрын
Killing God is only controversial in religious countries, like the US. The reason there will not be a remake is because remakes are for money makers like FF7. Xenogears was never a big moneymaker. Xenosaga showed that.
