Excellent video. I wish all videos were like this. Not story telling, thorough, and good quality. Great job!

I just bought TRQ fuel pump. I'm watching the video how to installed..thank you for the videos.

Great video. Watching it convinces me that I will be less frustrated bringing it to my mechanic who has the lift and can do this easier than my driveway on stands. If I were 30 years younger and had less arthritis, I would easily do this with this videos assistance. Mahalo

Best DYI I think I’ve ever seen! Didn’t miss a detail… bravo!👏

Great job!. The only thing I would add is while you're down there, I would blow out the gas and evap lines. If the pump is in need of replacing, I'd probably go ahead and change the evap system (cannister, solenoid, purge valve) as well and blow out the lines as those lines get filled with charcoal/carbon pellets when the cannister gets old. I know it was just about changing the fuel pump, but might as well do some preventive maintenance while you're down there. Just like most mechanics will change the Transmission seal when changing out a rear main seal. You're already there. Don't want to do that maintenance twice!

Hands down the best video fort replacing the fuel pump. Only difference in my case was the fuel pump had "barb" style connectors to connect the 3 hoses to the pump. Had to order the tool and the rest was history. Thanks!

What’s the line for the blue cap? I have a 2003 Denali and it doesn’t have a line on the tank for that center one. I put the other 2 lines on sand have been driving it. But once I park I smell gas fumes

I have a special adapter for a fuel tank as well. Its a 14” piece of 2x12 sitting on a 2 ton floor jack. Check mate.

That frame is even a touch rustier than my 05 XL. Same configuration I ve got tho, so very helpful video. I could have used a bit more detailed instructions re the connectors tho, and what they're all for

Great video. Think mines bad. Gauge says empty yet I know its full. And if I go in reverse real hard and slam on brakes the gauge then goes to full. Dont have a lift so on the ground it is but will be pretty much the same.

What is the normal pressure in the system with this pump? The old pump was 95-100 psi, the new one was 55-60 psi. 🧐

My 05 yukon rusted out on top. Perfectly good pump. I am so mad at GM. I cut a hole in the backseat and put in a junkyard fuel pump has worked just fine for 4 years. I piled on the grease on top. Seal up the hole using the same metal piece with silicone or use a mastic like roofing "Ice and water "sheild. Peel and stick. Caution don't use a grinder. Use a hammer and chisel or a air chisel.

Didn't even clean around the pump module before pulling it. And all that debris fell in and didn't clean out the fuel tank... great job! (sarcasm). Good bye new pump.

I Wonder How Much is Usually Charged To Do That Job....? And How Much does an O.E.M. Dealer Pump Cost...? Just for Future Reference... I have a 2000 Yukon XL. I would Not Look forward to Doing that Job, Broke Down on the roadside Or in the Driveway...I wonder if Some Backyard Mechanics would even Tackle That Job...it could take all day or a weekend...! Just Curious.... BillinL.A. 1-23-2021.

Well mine just went out and my mechanic wants 180 labor with fuel pump cost and gives me 3 month warranty on work done. I think that's fair.

My son is a diesel mechanic and said it's actually pretty easy, but definitely NOT to do it without a shop. Our 2001 yukon has over 300,000miles on it, I have been doing a lot of replacements and fixes but this isn't one I can do on my own without a way to get the rig up on a wrack etc.

Honestly they're not that hard of a job, under an hour for a competent person with the correct tools on hand, and thats on the ground, and not rushing.

i would consider make a hatch in the floor just above the pump. im guessing i need to swap my pump soon
