Ive done both of my front wheel bearings now and this vid was a big help. As far as the backing plate, i dont care if it's a little rusty, they went back on, its mainly the outside edges of it thats rusty anyways. As far as the wheel sensor, dont expect it to come out without drilling it out with a 3/8 drill bit. Theyre only $20 on amazon so its a minor problem to resolve. Do yourself a favour and spray penetrating oil on all bolts to be removed a few times over a day or 2 to make life easier. I did it on the driveway, no hoist, and everything loosened up no prob. If the axle wont push in use a sledge hammer and have someone hold a block of wood, preferably hardwood, against the axle end and it will free it up. Ive saved over $600 doing it myself so thanks again for the tips TRQ! 👌

@11:38 Notes: Axle nut torque: 188 lb. Ft/255 Nm.
@ShampooAlgorithm5 ай бұрын
Looks like that’s way too much torque, you might damage the bearing at that high torque. ProDemand calls for 92 ft-lb on the axle nut.

Lol you could’ve put a new backing plate on for them.😂

You all know better than to use an impact wrench to tighten an axle nut, right?

Oh and also the caliper bolts have that much torque seems like a lot when the lug nuts are only 80 ft lbs last time I broke a caliper bolt over tightened it

Have a 2013 rogue and I tried this replacement. Those 4 bolts behind the hub are an absolute bitch. I tried everything, I shoved the axle as far as it would go, I turned the wheels a bunch of times to get a good angle, but still struggled so badly to get only 2 bolts out I said fuck it and sent it to a mechanic. I usually fix my own stuff with ease as I've been doing it for years, but this mechanic makes this look like a walk in the park. I get I'm not a mechanic, but this shouldn't be that difficult.
