It's important for the diy mechanics like me to know that if you don't have a car lift and are using a jack that you cannot do one side and then the other side. You will need to raise both sides and secure them or you will not have enough play in the suspension to install the new strut. Ask me how I know! Major brain fart.....

I've watched a few Strut replacement Video's on the Edge & none of them mention Realignment of the Front wheels!) it does look like if you have some mechanic skills & tools it's easy to replace the struts lube some bolts, unloosen them with acouple components remove the strut then replace it with a new but again no mention for Realignment.. When doing a strut replacement does it also call for a realignment of the Front End.. Thanks..

yes i did one yesterday just gotta be careful when removing old and new its pretty tight getting it out. be CAREFUL dont rip cv boot. but it's very very possible. also that valence on top to reach the back bolt is ridiculous to take off loosen that bolt enough to get sawzall blade on it and let the milwaukee do the rest install new take a pry bar and pick up plastic enough to get rachet wrench on same bolt. do as i said and it will take long to get your tools together than to actually change both of them.

Hi, when I indexed the top holes of the shock to attach them, the bottom is a quarter turn off... Do I need reindex the top or somehow crank the bottom around to fit? HELP!

I fixed it, but it would be good to mention in the video (or notes) that the index arrow and the shock may not line up and you have to yank them into position with a breaker bar.

I had to do a 50% cowling opening to get the 2 rear nuts started on the new strut..... Didn't have to totally remove the cowling.... Just enough disassembly to get the cowling lifted to give access to the back 2 nuts

You didn't do the top bolts when you put to do the top when you put it
