On my 05 CR-V, the inner most 17mm bolt closest to the firewall had the welded stud from the factory that's located inside that enclosed space just snapped off on me and so I couldn't reinstall the new bolt with the transmission mount. I ended up having to pay a mechanic to drill a hole inside of there and weld the stud back into position. He also reinforced the other stud as well because according to him he said that the welds from the factory were incredibly weak and bound to break at some point. Cost me $150 for that job. I also needed a new starter, which was more than I would've liked and everything together cost me $712. My car is a stick shift so I think that the transmission mount on my car may look slightly different than that of this one. However it's the same basic process for both cars.

Have you ever heard of the 2nd gen "grinding sound" when accelerating fast from a complete stop? Im wondering if this has anything to do with the sound.
