followed this video step by step for VW Jetta Base 2015 and my brake are working better than ever. When you can get the right parts and proper tools then this is an easy job. great video!

He was showing how to replace the brakes. However he had brand new brake pads on the car already. So the piston was already compressed due to the thickness of the pads. He did not show bleeding the brakes because he did not have fitment issues. If you have to compress your brakes due to going to a thicker pad, then you will have to bleed your brakes.

Love it - just if you could add a couple of comments for the noobs like me about the grit on the dremels you use to sand the rotors and pad holders.

Great tutorial and very nice camera work showing the correct way of refurbishing the front brakes. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and cheers from Montreal, Canada!

Should have suggested pumping the peddle a few times until you get pressure before putting the car in gear.

I hate watching these kind of videos because with all of the power tools and everything they make it look so easy. For these kind of videos you should assume that people have just regular tools.

Power tools only make the job faster. All of this can be done with simple hand tools

Hi, the brake pads I bought have a little cable attached to it in one of them. I think that's the sensor cable. The current pad does not have one though. So, what do I do with that cable?

What year is this jetta? I have 2015 and a 2016 and different caliper bolts than those. And no need to remove the caliper bracket to get the rotor off those years.

I have 2017 Jetta S 1.4TDI. You need to displace the caliper mount/holder to remove the disk.

Am I the only person in the world that had to use a tool in order to get the piston back. Only car I ever had trouble with that and doesn’t seem like I missed anything

That’s a Jetta? What trim level? I haven’t seen one that you don’t need to remove caliper bracket to remove the rotor. Totally different setup
@conradwilbur38143 ай бұрын
Torque your wheel down to 89 foot pounds you hit it to about 100 or so with a half inch impact and stuck a torque wrench on it. Click the click click that’s not torquing to 89 foot pounds you can do better. You pretty much clean that hub down for no reason after that. But the rest of your video was great.

Can anyone please tell me what are those two teeth looking things on the left side of the rotor at 3:24 ? I just got a Jetta and the screw holes lost their lining. Thank you in advanced.
