I found it easier to leave the high pressure line on , take out the rack then take off the line, and put the line on the new rack before installing, its a tighter fit putting it back yet its possible. Saves stress

I am doing this job RIGHT NOW. I am pretty good with tools, but removing those lines has proven to be quite the challenge. I dont have the benefit of a lift so im on jack stands. Gonna finish the job today. Fingers crossed.

What was the customer complaint? My steering has a lot of tension but the pump isn't making noises and I can see fluid pumping in the reservoir so I'm thinking it's got to be the rack

When they list the r and r time they do the job 3 times and divide the average to get the listed time. I’m sure they have done a few of these since they know exactly what ti do

For anyone who's looking to remove the high pressure solenoid you have to use a punch at the base of the sensor.dont try to spin it any other way

Pro tip: get a 3 ft extension for your ratchet. You’ll be able to reach the high pressure line from the passenger side very easily
