I believe mine is bad as well. Would you also hear a ticking noise when turning whike reversing? Sounds like a baseball card in a bike tire.

not that is that common but it also does that noise too, not only clunking but some other strange noises when you have a bad rack and pinion.

So you did not try to do the adjustment using the nut/screw and just suggested to replace the whole thing?

correct, it was damaged, it was also leaking bad thread where the high pressure line is.

How much does it cost to replace rack and pinion? And the labor?

it will depend on where you get the steering rack either from Dealer or after market or online but labor about $400-500

Do you get the clunking when turning the steering wheel. I only get the noise you're doing when turning left and right at a stop sign or red light turning.

Mine is only doing it going straight it’s killing me I’ve changed lower upper arms sway bar links still same sound
