You definitely don’t have to do the axle nut. I have this exact car and just wasted 30 minutes trying to get it off. After struggling, I looked at other videos. I was very easily able to replace the struts without touching the axle nut.

I'm guess we should reinstall the axle nut before putting the tire back on? Is there a retaining clip for that axle nut?
