Sorry, you did not manage this in 15 minutes by cutting through the floor..... Before cutting or replacing ANYTHING. Do yourself a favor, find the fuel pump ground connector - driver's side behind the front wheel. Remove the 13 mm bolt sand down the surface on the frame and the contacts and reseat. Would have saved myself a few hours of cutting through the floor board. Removing the old rusted fuel pump. Wresting to install replacement, which was NOT the exact fit. Although, AutoZone sells it as such. Returning and getting the correct pump. Installing and troubleshooting why it still would not start. Come to find out, the issue was always a ground issue. Old pump worked fine when I applied power to it on a bench test. Could have saved @ $200 and hours of frustration. Takes all of 5 minutes to clean the ground contact and test..... Do yourself a favor.

I have a 05 5.3 tahoe if. Leave it overnight and start it the next day it'll run for a few minutes, then shut off after that it starts then dies immediately.
