I’ve never worked on cars, but tbh I feel like with this video I can change my own radiator. It seems pretty straight forward. 🤷🏼‍♀️ fingers crossed for me 😂

Great video and summary....but, two things. Those capture nuts are a nightmare. Better to put them in place before you install the rad. Find a way to hold them there. Top two are hard enough. Bottom two are impossible. Second, the new rads have the build in transmission cooling ports and my 2005 did not have the plugs. They can be left off until you buy replacements. Nothing will leak. Maybe a third point is the air bleed screw. I didn't bother letting the air bubble out and it was fine, but probably not a bad idea.

There should be a bleeder screw on the engine side of the upper radiator hose. Both my 2005 Grand Cherokee and 2007 Liberty have them.

My radiator does not have those plastic caps 5:26 but my replacement has the port holes for it. What do I do?

Did you leave the removal of the cooling fan assembly out for any particular reason?

Mine doesn't have the red caps on my old one but the new one has the holes 😮😮 how to I plug them in don't have any caps is it ok without them???

Is this the same with a manual transmission? Cause my original radiator don’t have trans cooler set up or connection points@TRQ

I just replaced my radiator and realized my original doesn't have external cooler holes and therefore no red caps. Does anyone know what to do about open holes or do I need to get another radiator? Thanks! The replacement was mostly smooth. The rubber cover was wrapped around the AC pipes on the front left, so I decided the cut the botton instead of disconnecting them.

Love how he neglected to mention that he pulled out the engine fan before pulling that electric fan and shroud, if you don't do that it makes it a lot harder to get out

For those 2 oil cooler holes in the left side of the radiator, how can those 2 plastic caps that you plugged into the holes , keep the radiator pressure from just pushing them out and leaking? You might say "go ahead" a little less.

It's funny ya be having people think they mechanics but u dont ever show when a bolt breaks u never use any lubricant but yea have people out here breaking they sht then gotta bring it to me anyway lmao I guess a thank you is in order here I appreciate it
