When the handle fades in colour closer to white than black, is that indicating future structural failure of the handle', or just a 'change in colour' due to age ??

Thanks for putting together this vid' !! Was wondering how a pin' was removed, or were they worn out mini-screw heads ? Been tinkering and sourcing (from fave vehicle recycling yd.), replacement side vent window for drivers side of '82Ford F100 due to excessive glass metal channel rusting out. When the handle fades in colour closer to white than black, is that indicating future structural failure of the handle', or just a change in colour ! Scored' one 'vent window' today with faded handle, but with great glass metal channel ! Thinking of going back for psgr side unit so to have matching handles, although maybe now a better idea to swap out retiring unit handle onto the recently acquired unit, if structural thing' !? Thanks for your time !

99% of these are going to be broken all the way off…where can u buy the piece that actually connects to the window?
