This video shows you how to install a CV axle shaft on your 2006-2011 Chevrolet HHR. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.

Love the torque checks. Lol, broski, you used a impact gun for 18ftlbs, it's good. That gun probably over torqued them. The torque meter instantly beeped. Over all really good guide though! I watched to ensure there isn't any crazy marks you have to verify lined up prior to pulling the axle out, like a timing mark or something. Definitely within the skill set of myself performing this.

It doesn’t matter if the stub shaft seal was leaking or not, , the correct repair procedure is to replace both the stub shaft sleeve and the stub shaft seal at the same time. Never one and not the other. Also, the circlips are NOT supposed to be reused after removal.

My new CV axle does not have that extension part and the old part doesn't have the extension attached, the vehicle is an automatic.

What is the bearing on the inside that the axle sits on mines move a lot 4:24 i dont think its the seal because its like the bearing and i see the teeth inside move as well like a bearing
