This video shows you how to install an overflow tank on your 2012-2020 Ford Focus. Your vehicle is equipped with a tank containing extra coolant, and space for the coolant to overflow to when the system gets hot. A cracked or broken tank could slowly drain your vehicle of much needed fluid. A dirty tank could send debris into the system, clogging it.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

Good video instead of removing the front plastic trim I've always just made a little "chute" for the coolant to run into my pan. Works pretty well.

Do you REALLY need to drain the entire coolant system to replace the reservoir bottle?? Seen other videos where they don’t.

Thanks for this. I used a syringe and tube to flush out the coolant without lifting the car.

can you guys please do a video on replacing the coolant outlet flange on the 2012 Ford focus. There are no good videos on KZbin. It took me hours just to figure out what the part was. When it breaks, all the coolant in your expansion tank will flow out and it looks like a head gasket is busted but it's actually the plastic flange.

I bought a car and the little cap next to the little hose wasnt there. Antifreeze would come out of there. Is that normal since the cap wasnt there? Im talking about the reservoir

Hi! I currently installed this in my car but I have a question! What are those two small openings called? the far left one, or maybe the right one towards you, the one that doesn't get attached to anything but just has a covering. Its dripping a little bit from there. I kind of overflowed it with coolant so maybe its that? But if its not? do you know how I can fix it?

I changed mine but now its leaking from the little upper hose overflow return line the plastic o ring i think fell off ?and there was a metal peace in big house that got stuck in the old coolant resivour

How long did it take to complete the job? From removal to completion? I've been quoted 1.5 hours for the job, doesn't look like it takes that long?
