Install the lower bolts witht the slots in the manifold and theyll act almost as dowel pins for easy installation. Saves you from the hassle of lining up the gasket and manifold while simultaneously threading the bolt

Thanks for the video. I have all the tools to do this job Today an auto shop quoted $1300 to replace both exhaust manifolds I’m sure only one needs to be replaced cuz only one has a leak and is making noise but auto shops always wants to over sell the job

Im on my second set of manifolds and im under 91k miles. The bolts keep breaking. Thia is a onown issue with Ram. Of course this happens when the warranty expires. My second set came with a two yr warranty

At 4:58 he says there are 5 studs (13 mm) and 4 bolts (10 mm), and then at 10:30 we see him put a 10 mm in the front most hole where a 13 mm stud was. Be careful, a lot of these kits are wrong and leave you one stud short. Huge length difference between the studs and the bolts

This is a helpful video. The only thing I am stuck at right now is the two rear ports the gasket material just came off. The two front ones it is like a solid piece that doesn't want to come off. I have tried to get it moving with careful work with a razor and brake cleaner with no success. Any suggestions?

@TRQ what happens if a bolt came out sideways and it expanded the hole in which the bolt is suppose to go into? I don’t wanna run the truck but what can I do to make it hold?

This must be the one engine that came with a 02-08 Ram 1500.
