This video shows you how to install a new harmonic balancer on your 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8. For many vehicles, the harmonic balancer not only helps balance the engine, but also drives the accessory belt. If your engine is vibrating, or belts are slipping, you might need a new harmonic balancer.
This repair was done on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L Sport Utility 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
