This video shows you how to install a new steering shaft on your 2009-2014 Ford F-150. Depending on the type of vehicle, the shaft connecting your steering wheel to the steering mechanism may be exposed, and prone to wear or corrosion. If there is play in the steering, or a chance of breakage, it’s best to replace it!

Thank you for the detailed video. I just bought my 2014 F150 (1st truck ever owned) from a neighbor and assumed the almost manual steeringg was normal and even bought a steering knob to help on slow turns. After replacing this shaft and even though the original shaft still had fairly decent movement, I now have real PS which feels as easy as my cars.

I have a slight bit of play in my steering wheel, I've replaced every front end part possible except for the steering rack and shaft, do you think this is a likely part causing the excess play in the wheel?
