hi Tom, the orange “thing” button organizes the memories in frequency order and automatically kills duplicates as well. It Looks like Tecsun took the PL-880 and added Bluetooth, tone controls, recording and dual speakers to their best sounding portable (the Pl-880). It looks great and the sound should be fantastic!

The manual missed a few symbols. With the radio off, hold press "AM BW" & every segment of the display appears. Single press "AM BW" again to return to normal.

I have a Tecsun H501x, the display shows after pressing the AMBW button, the display shows REC above SYNC, there is no mention of it in the manual. REC was shown on the FM display. What is it for? Recording? Model H501xPC2308004

Sorry, I don't remember seeing this and I just reviewed the manual and could not find any reference to this.
