The best season to build is winter because there is no much rainfall if not at all. Start in April so that you don't have many stop and go.

I dont think you guys will have a problem since you are used to cooking with gas. It goes off foe 2 hours and come back and you will have a schedule of when is happening

Loadshedding is a technique to move to the renewable energy. And trust me it will soon be the thing of the past 1. Use Gas stove and Gas heater 2. Solar energy Inverter 3. Solar refrigerator 4. Solar ac 5. Solar geyser Then you are sorted for life.

@MT Load shedding is a pain to everybody and it is new to South Africans too. So they will just get used to it because it is here to stay. So if you do want to share the misery of the country please stay where you are.
