trapper - force survivors to counter him or be unable to play loops - addons make him stronger with the rarer addons actually being strong - one of the few killers in the game that can go from 0 hooks to a 4k off of a survivor mistake - can play maps some killers really struggle on by cutting the map and preventing the broken loops like hes not top tier but hes diffently not Freddy or the new SM

I think the tier list brainrot as infected the gaming community for the worst. People see a tier list of their favorite streamer and just do not think about anything on their own. You could give your opinion on something, based on your experience and knowledge and people will respond with no arguments. Or even worse, they will say "no cause this person said so". Critical thinking is lacking in people these days. To speak about trapper, i don't think he is the best character but he can definitely be scary to face. If you don't take the time to look for traps, it will bite you later when you need to rescue a hooked person or do a gen in a trapped up area. But, as most things in this game, it's ruined by a swf group that will dedicate a player to follow you around and disable all the traps you place. That's why he isn't among what the people would consider top tier killers. But that doesn't mean he is necessarily among the weakest killers who i would consider personally Freddy and pig.

Hi, I'm people. P100 Trapper playing since 2018. The reason he is considered low tier is that compared to other killers and their kits, they've got better traits to make killing survivors easier - map mobility, lethality, and even controlling areas. Sure, Trapper can still get the job done, but other killers can get the job done easier which places them higher on a tier list.

I always knew that about Trapper. I am glad you are confirming that. He really is a basic killer. However, he is satisfying to play as when you can get survivors trapped close by. That is what makes him fun when that happens.

i think his purple stone addon (honing stone?) where the survivor is left in the dying state if they free themselves makes his traps have more value as someone needs to get off a gen to rescue that person.

Trapper will always be my favorite. Set up a good 3 gen, and you're solid. Even better if basement is wothin the 3 gen.

Hes treated as low tier because he takes too long to set up. The ability is ok, but your set up can be undone by one person following you around. He has no chase power unless you force someone into a trap.

Frank Stone is not the first DbD killer canonically btw. Augustine actually has memorobilia from other killers in her collection, such as huntress mask. Also the rellik dolls which you might say are just collectibles, but the characters do comment on finding them. Im pretty sure both these things point to entity's realm and the trials already existing. Also the ending kind of points to that with the other characters alreadying being there and just waiting like they've been through this many times.

No. Tru3 has been rating killers based on their best builds for a long time now. He has said time and time again that there is no point in rating killers without using their best builds because then 90% of them would be trash - low tier. So again, no, he shouldn't be rating them based on their "average" add ons. Plus, add ons at this point are extremely easy to stockpile. There is literally no reason not to run the build you find best for a character, unless you're newly leveling them up, in which case you can't complain because you aren't playing a good build.

Being low tier and being weak are two different things. In fighting games, top tier used to mean doing the best with the least amount of effort put in. A lower tier can be a great character but you have to put the work in. Tiers and meta don't really mean anything since people use the definitions wrong.

Wdym? Trapper is generally considered to be low tier in the community but this build suggests he’s higher up than he should. Legion for example on his best build is shit in my opinion and therefore not all killers are good on their best build

The majority of players who claim Trapper is low-tier are often using wall hacks. Any genuine player knows how strong the Trapper can be. Unfortunately, the community is riddled with wallhackers, including some well-known competitive streamers. I won’t name names, but as someone from Asia, I can recognize the telltale signs of a wallhacker's playstyle. Tru3, on the other hand, plays honestly-you can tell by how natural his gameplay feels. In contrast, many competitive players seem suspiciously unnatural. I'm convinced that KnightLight also uses undetectable wallhacks on Steam ( Steamproof wallhacks). If he's truly playing fair, let him prove it by streaming with a webcam that shows his screen. Let’s see how many kills he gets with 4 gens remaining then.
