Great video. I was thinking about making the same design for my truck. I just recently purchased a short bed truck and have no room to carry large cargo. Perfect! Exactly what I need. The rounded edges of normal tailgate blockers won't fit around the tires of my quad. I need something with square corners. Plus this won't let firewood under the quad slide out. Where do I get one?

Great idea. I've had something like this in my head for a while, and frankly, I'm amazed the OEMs or aftermarket companies haven't developed something similar. You should partner with a company like Diamondback Truck Covers to start cranking these out.

Some Nissan Frontiers come with an adjustable/removable bed extension. My parents own one that does, but never rember they can utilize it.

👍… Ditched my bed extender for a couple of tow ropes to secure my load. Got tired of lugging it around when I didn’t need it or having to toss it aside when the large load extending past the bed extender.

i also see the possibility of a bed extender table for the camper enthusiastic off roader. just a another Tacoma mod and when not in use the tail gate is a flat surface easy on the knees when climbing in and out many great possibilitys

when you put the tailgate back up it looks like it might bounce around, is there something in the design that would keep it locked flat when the gate is up?

Its locked in by being pressed up against the bed rails. No need to worry, wont move at all.

That’s true of every bed extender on the market - including the OEM models from the factory. Based on that it would be street legal in terms of turn signals.
