I have the same setup on my Tacoma 5ft bed, with the airbedz matters and extension. It super cool the setup but take a while to assemble and disassemble. That's why I'm changing to a Roof Top Tent, because my service time in the Army let my body feel like S**t, LoL. I have the same tent with the awning paired with a Airbedz mattress. 3 years of heavy use, no issues. Works great with my long bed Tacoma. I do always lay a tarp down on the bed of the truck to protect the floor of the tent. I also like it has rear access to the cab. Also, only the tent with the awning has a rear opening which allows access to the cab rear window. Great for running cables from the cab to the tent.

I bought a used one. Set it up in the driveway. Liked it so much I bought the companion tent. So now I can have even more room. The tent does come off in one piece so you can take it off to go explore or put your boat in the water. Napier needs to make a tent for john boats so we can go camping on our boats in the water. : )

Question boss. I personally feel the wind will beat it to hell, but since you installed it, how do you feel about the tent installed while rolling down the road? Like highway miles. You are supposed to take the tent down before traveling. You could probably leave it up if you are just driving around the campsite, but I can't stress enough, do not get onto the highway with this installed. It'll get ripped to shreds.

Not trying to be one of them.... bc I'm into trucks guns camping etc.... but why is it better to have a truck bed tent instead of just putting your normal tent next to your truck and having all your supplies in the truck?

The answer is....there is no better. It's an option. I've noticed no matter what I show people....there is always someone who disagrees with it. My off road teardrop trailer videos are notorious for those comments. Why buy a $20,000 trailer when you can just sleep in a $20 buck tent on the ground. I ask the 70 year old owner of a $400k global expedition vehicle why did he buy it? He told me...I've slept in the mud as a young marine....I spent $400k because I'm done sleeping in the mud. I said....fair enough lol.

I actually invented something similar to this 7 years ago! Smaller and more better I think. And it’s actually Aerodynamic so you don’t have to set it up and take it down.. I just needed the invent kit. But things turned very bad in my life so I gave up.. for all the other people “never give up”

Actually...if you had to carry an ATV or dirt bike in the truck...a tent like this would be a good companion piece of gear if you want a bike at your campsite. Carrying a bike means your going to empty out your truck bed anyway.

As the saying goes...there are a thousand ways to skin this cat. Im just showing one option. Putting a tent on a bed rack requires....a bed rack that costs $1000+ and up...and a roof top tent that costs $1000+ and up....that $2000+ to do what you said to do. This option is $150 to $200. Putting a few storage bins on the ground might be worth the effort when it costs $2000+ for a bed rack and roof top tent.

Doesn't take too long. Compared to what, building a house. Pay 4 to 5 times the price for a free standing tent that fits in the bed. Takes 4 to 5 times to put up and take down. Friend of mine bought one used it 1 weekend got tired of the time it took to put up and down. Oh yeah the bottom did leak although it was from a heavy downpour. Had to practically give it away. Went back to a regular tent.

In all honesty it’s probably the worst I’ve ever seen, you basically drove into the middle of nowhere “literally” then you are sounding like it’s what you do every weekend, then you crop a photo over top of your video, not really too sure what it really is that you’re trying to do. Anyone can read instructions unless you’re colour blind. Which is saying “lightly”, videos are best in 2 ways, while you’re actually doing what the product is designed for, then 2nd the weather n on that you failed on both angles. Anyone can do math n for you to explain your height with the length of the truck bed n which I don’t even think is yours. Rule of thumb, if you’re going to sell something, then sell the product, not your skills which I’m saying “don’t quit your day job” you gave zero insight on anything in particular to the product

I don’t know if you know this but plenty of people enjoy seeing things being demonstrated even though they can read paper instructions. KZbin is a video website. People love videos. I’m shocked you aren’t familiar with the popularity of how videos help people make purchasing decisions. As for my location? I live in Reno. Aka high desert. It’s 5k feet where I’m at. It’s part desert and part mountains and it gets cold here. It was 12 degrees the other day on my way into work. As for pretending I do this everyday? Huh? Please point out the exact moment I said in the video that I do this everyday? Did you drink too much before posting? As for you not thinking I even own the truck? Again… huh? Why would I not be able to own a truck? Do I look poor? Are native Americans or asians not allowed to own trucks??? I just bought a 2022 tundra this year for $60k. I guess your racism is hanging out a little. You might want to tuck that in? As for insight. I literally give the viewers tons of insight. Watch it again. As for cropping a photo over the top of the video? It’s called giving insight on other possibilities such as the extended ground tent that is available which I did not own but was able to show an image of.
