Dave glad the wife is ok. I loved the dutch door on Alaskan campers for a bunch of reasons. Hope it grows on you.

Love the Dutch door. Finish work takes so much time/energy

At least with the door and you decide you don't like it, it's easily removed and replace it with one you like. My door is centered on camper. I had wished I built it more to one side. But it works. Your camper is looking awesome

All looks good. I'm just thinking about how I would change this if I had space to build my own. I like the roof design, but I'm always thinking of future upgrades, changes, and adaptability. Personally, I would probably stick with the roof being mostly flat. I would put some sort of track system on either side. Then it would allow me to bolt on some sort of spacer panel that solar can get airflow underneath. If I decided to drop solar, I could unbolt all of that and put some sort of cargo carrier on top, or perhaps put plywood or other building materials on top. For my own van, I'm trying to create an adaptable living space, yet also keep things adjustable so I can gut it all in an afternoon and use it to haul building materials. So, when I can finally afford these insane land/housing prices, I can then use my van to pick up materials and build my house. But I guess in your case, you can just drop the whole camper. I'm trying to create a vehicle that does everything, yet is still small enough to go through a touchless car wash.

I guess popups arent everyones thing but i sure loved mine. I would love to see you do one.

Big Dave I knew it would be a terrific build. I hate to give you any advice but, I would install door lock bolt on the bottom door so it can’t possibly creep down and lock. You need to spend some time block sanding but, man it is beautiful and, you amaze everyone. Ted from Arkansas

I have thought about a max fan built out on the backside opposite the ac box. They do this on the lil snoozy trailers for the bathroom. What do you think?
@jugernut7007Ай бұрын
Impressive camper build, sir. I'm building my camper and have been watching your videos. I am at the skinning camper phase. My question is, have you had any issues with the bondo cracking after the durabak 18 smooth is applied and cured? How well does the durabak hold up from your other builds?
@EndgameCampersАй бұрын
I’ll touch on coating options in the next video. There is more nuance/info that I want to get across than I can writing in a single comment. Sorry for the wait. A lot of people have similar questions and I want to address once. Thanks for watching my friend. Durabak has worked well for me.

Golden ratio, 1.618 that is a natural ratio most pleasing to the human eye and is in a lot of nature. Almost looks like the camper has the golden ratio built into it. Trumps side profile has the golden ratio in it as crazy at it sounds.

Dave, Did you use 18 gage,1\4 inch crown, 1-1\2 inch lengh staples? Just wondering, thought 1-1\4 inch wood be more than enough?
@EndgameCampersАй бұрын
I agree, I think 1 1/4 would be enough.

Hi Dave, Duraback? Is that primer you use? Are you fiber passing your top like 8.0? You didn't show fiberglass work. I can understand when you do something you explain it. I'm kinda lost on all the other channels out there. Thanks for all you do and taking the time to respond to guys like me building a truck camper.
