HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Future tip for you re: sweet potatoes. They take so long to bake, especially in an RV oven. Try chopping them into chunks and boiling them. They are SO GOOD that way!! And they cook so much faster.

Hanna Park! We stayed there back in May. I loved the wild, jungle-like atmosphere, but it was a bear to get our 31 ft Airstream into our campsite. If anyone out there plans to stay at Hanna Park in the future, just know that the map on their website shows specific, numbered campsites angling in various directions. The map is misleading! Please call the campground office to determine which sites your rig will fit into and which direction you need to approach the chosen site from. Happy Camping!

A tip to get the juice from an orange is before you cut it open place it on a table or something firm and push down HARD on the orange while rolling it back and forth and all around. Do this for a couple of minutes, it softens the pulp inside releasing the juice. Then cut it open and squeeze! Works for lemons and limes also

You are or were right in my area! I have so many places/things to do to recommend...hiking, biking, kayaking. If you're around for a bit, top recommedation on my list is visiting GTMNERR (aka Guana) for miles of pristine undeveloped beach and about 10-ish miles of woodsy hiking trail from the dam (several interconnected loop trails you can customize to your liking). You could even ride these trails with mountain bikes. You can plop your kayaks in at the dam, either in the lake or on the other side in the river leading out to the Intracoastal (tidal, so check tides). You can also access the Guana WMA from the dam for about 22 miles RT of scenic gravel ride (usually closed on weekends during hunting season, but weekdays should be fine). In fact, a friend and I are riding there tomorrow. Anyway, no matter what you do, I'm sure it will be great fun. I so enjoy your channel. 😍

Nice! I couldn’t do all the prep same day. I tend to start prepping and make ahead stuff on Tuesday/Wednesday. Partly it’s because it makes clean up simpler on Thursday. For squeezing citrus you can use tongs and put the citrus in between then squeeze. It gives great leverage.

If you are still in the area I can suggest eating at Singleton’s Seafood in the fishing village of Mayport next to the ferry a few miles from Hanna. Also for fresh seafood to purchase is at Safe Harbor. My family are Commercial Snapper fisherman and we sell all of our fish to them and dock our boat there. Across the ferry and then north a couple of miles is Huguenot Park and you can camp directly on the water and you can see the naval base better. Be careful with the drone the Navy base is not a fan. Hope you enjoy our little town of Atlantic Beach I am about 1 minute from Hanna.

🌾 happy 🦃 day y’all 🌾 I luv camping at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park amongst the mighty oaks, pines and tropical foliage. Watch out for the two eyed nightly bandits savaging for food. 🦝 I’m currently over toward the Ocala area but wish I had planned a trip to the shore as I miss the pounding of surf in my ears, the smell of salt air, the calls of seagulls, watching huge cargo ships enter the St John’s River port where the Atlantic Ocean joins up and chowing down at a local riverside tavern. 🦐

We live about an hour from Hannah Park. North Beach campground in St Aug is nice but pricey so we only stay 1 night. Anastasia is good but need early reservations unless a cancelation. There's a free parking lot for oversized vehicles next to the parking garage in St Aug and can walk to St George St. Where all the action is. Don't forget Ginnie Spgs your only 1 1/2 hours from there and a must do!

Not to sound like a know it all but could I make a small suggestion for camper oven use? We did the pizza stone thing for awhile but we always burned the bottom of the food or broke the silly stone thing. We have switched to using the square cast iron flat thing that has the grill lines on one side and the flat griddle on the other side. We place it at the bottom of the oven just above where the fire is and that seems to disperse the heat nicely for us using the same oven. We make sure (ok 95% of the time!) to remove the cast iron thing before we drive so it doesn’t bounce around and cause damage while traveling. Hope hat is helpful. Thanks guys! D

Kelly's homemade cranberry sauce I have made with the same ingredients except I didn't cook it. I put all the ingredients in a blender (raw vegan style).
