That's a pretty nice upgrade to the truck camping experience, man! It looks like there is room for improvement, but nonetheless. Good to see ya kickin' over there. Stay well and have a great week, brother.

Yeah just got an email from them, they watched it and appreciated the feedback on it. You have a great week too man.

Oh man, that gap in the screen would be a deal breaker for me! I'd be thinking I'm going to get eaten the whole time! Other than that I love the room in there! Who was the loveseat for?
@thathikingguy2 жыл бұрын
I was actually surprised that it kept out almost all of the bugs and I also need practice setting it up because I think I can do a better job after a few more tries. The loveseat was for Keith and Opie because he loves that dog more than any of us LOL

Looks nice and comfy in there. I recently bought the GREEN ELEPHANT Telescoping Tarp Pole set on Amazon, they’d work out nicely with that tarp. Great video! 👍

I looked at those before and considered them, that is a great tip though thanks so much Tim

The regular roadhouse is the best priced tarp you can get for an SUV, I've had mine for 3year's now and couldn't be happier. Just bought the mesh version because it's getting harder to get and I know the quality.

Yeah. I’m still a huge fan of mine

Would this do a good enough job of keeping mosquitos out to sleep in the back of the vehicle with the hatch open? (with the screen down of course)
@thathikingguy Жыл бұрын
I have used it that way and been just fine.

I’ve ordered a cap for my truck bed. Let me ask if you are aware of a tent that will set up similar to this net that you are reviewing here?
@thathikingguy Жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a tent from the same company that sets up similarly. It is called the Slumber Shack 4 person tent, I have a video on my channel about it and the link is in the description. Great tent. I use it a lot

I've also considered just a tarp, the addition of that screen is a really great option. Seems like it could be a pretty quick setup/tear down as well.
@thathikingguy Жыл бұрын
This one is very handy for summer camping. And yeah sets up and tears down pretty easily

Do you find that it really keeps mosquitos out? Or is there a way to make it work? I'm worried about the gaps, wanting to sleep inside the back of my vehicle counting on the screen to keep out mosquitos.

I like it ❤😊

Hey Chris, Hoobilly here 🤯.. Morn'n Dude. I have one of these had for three years now and not used it!!? LOL.. Glad someone from Hoobillyland did a review video of it finally. Hey man, glad you’re doing OK. Been a minute since I talk to you and yeah this tarp is amazing. I still have it I still use it so if you do use it and do a video on it, I’ll watch it.

I really like the screen in area around your truck. That’s awesome. I’ve been wanting something like that for my truck. Really cool

This was a gamechanger for this weekend. We had very little bugs in and around us and it kept us dry as well.
@FreedomToRoam86 Жыл бұрын
Great review - I was not sure if it was going to work for me. After watching your vid, definitely keeping. I am curious what extra tentpole you recommend? I am guessing a telescoping adjustable with a plastic top to not poike though.
@thathikingguy Жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful. Yeah just any adjustable telescoping pole with a cap you can put on it.
@NatMoran2 жыл бұрын
That's a neat product. I totally needed that in Wyoming. 🤣

Oh I bet, we were glad to have it because horseflys and mosquitos were just crazy this weekend. Not as easy to set up as the other one but does make it very nice. Hope you are doing well. Good luck back in Cali

That is awesome would be nice to have a big protected area from the elements and the bugs.
@thathikingguy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was really nice as several large horse flys were trying to get at us. We just laughed maniacally of course
@scottphillipy98312 жыл бұрын
That's a really nice setup. When I first saw and heard you had it you didn't have the screen down, that is a game changer and lots of room. Thanks for sharing it. ✌
@thathikingguy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah thanks Scott. I can’t imagine the mosquito bites I’d have on me right now without it
@redshepherdoutdoors72012 жыл бұрын
Nice review. I agree it should come with the center pole. Ya a stake that size needs a sharpened end. Most companies miss the boat when it comes to stakes anyways. Keep ‘em coming…I love gear.
@thathikingguy2 жыл бұрын
The stakes I ended up using are those that look like a ten penny nail. I was basically set up on gravel and they plowed through them because they were sharpened. Had I used the ones that came with it, it probably would have taken me much more effort. Thanks for watching this, this made the weekend very comfortable
