The nail trick transcends firefighting and should be taught in schools for every day usage. Great video.

Been a full-time firefighter for 15 years and still learned some shit. Wish we had more salty old-school guys on my department. The nail thing is fuckn brilliant.

Funniest shit is my most used tool on my lid has been my two nails. Those two nails are practically melted toothpicks I don’t know how they managed but they are the ultimate chock!

Nice vid... the most important "tool" carried on any truck/engine is the one on your shoulders

Scba or drd? Just kidding we all know it's the coat itself you're talking about. Your point is doubly valid. A firefighter needs a good head on his shoulders, and he is the tool most in need of protecting.
